Different Ways of Making a 5-Card Hand
Board (Community) Cards
Some poker games, such as Hold'em Bonus Poker and Let it Ride, use Board Cards. Board Cards, sometimes referred to as Community Cards, are cards that both the player and dealer can use to improve their hand. In Hold'em Bonus Poker, the player and dealer each have two cards that belong only to them. They use these cards along with five Board Cards in order to make the best possible 5-card hand. In some cases, they use both of their personal cards and three of the community cards. In other cases, they use all five community cards.

Player-Only Cards
Some poker games, such as the classics 5-Card Draw and 7-Card Stud, do not allow players to use Board Cards. Instead, players try to make the best 5-card hand possible using only their personal cards dealt to them.
